Outside Sales Representative
Cal-Duct, Inc. is a distributor of underground electrical and communication products. We are seeking an outside sales representative with an outgoing, energetic, and positive attitude to join our team. As an outside sales representative you will be responsible for marketing, promoting and profitably selling products and services to existing and potential customers.
Responsibilities:
- Makes personal sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis.
- Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales.
- Stay current on existing and emerging product and technologies.
- Introduces and demonstrates new products to assigned accounts.
- Follows-up on all generated quotations to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solution.
- Generate profitable sales orders.
- Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
- Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer relationships consistent with company image and company goals in the marketplace.
- Cooperates with qualified suppliers to secure mutual business through joint calls.
- Attends product training classes to develop superior product knowledge to handle customer applications.
- Develops a working relationship with Inside Sales Associates, Counter Sales Associates and support personnel; encourages and assists in their training and development when possible.
- Executes sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner, assuring a favorable impression of self and the company.
- Maintains a professional/working image in self and work environment including vehicle.
- Completes sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.
- Fulfills customer needs for current literature, catalogs, product pricing, etc.
- Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
- Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals.
- Coordinates customer returns and completes proper documentation on a timely basis.
- Informs customers of all relevant company policies/procedures and initiatives. Reporting customer comments to management.
- Routinely communicates schedule to manager.
- Performs other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job.
Qualifications:
- Three years of relevant sales and industry experience
- Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
- Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, including sales presentations, demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record.

Class A Driver

8 Hour Shifts (with possible overtime)
Shift Hours vary (4 AM to 8 PM)
Our Class A drivers typically operate a 53’ tractor trailer or a stake bed truck and can support any routes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Load/Unload material on flatbed truck
- Ensure material count matches the paperwork for all deliveries
- Transport products to customer’s yard or job site in a timely and courteous manner while safely operating the vehicle
- Complete vehicle inspection reports
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Minimum qualifications:
- Hold a valid Class A California Driver’s License
- Must present a valid TWIC card
- Have a clean driving record, free of any points
- Must be over 21 years of age and have a license for at least 3 years
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Experience driving a forklift and piggy back
- Attention to detail
- Be safety-oriented
- Must be energetic, have a great attitude, and be a team player!

Warehouse Will Call / Counter Sales
The Counter Sales Associate will work both in will call and the warehouse. You will be responsible for assisting other team members with entering orders, pulling orders, and loading material in customer’s vehicles.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a positive, friendly & helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs.
- Determine merchandise required by customer and suggest alternative and/or additional items related to the customer’s order.
- Create sales order.
- Select appropriate merchandise from stock.
- Receive payment or obtain credit information.
- Properly prepare merchandise for customer transportation.
- Maintain counter area displays of merchandise in an orderly and attractive manner.
- Backup will call desk.
- Assist and resolve customer complaints.
- Keeps abreast of new product information and upcoming product promotions.
- Assist warehouse associates or receiving clerk if needed.
- Pull inventory from warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving of inventory
